Happy New Year?

Yes, I know I'm a little behind, wishing you all a Happy New Year 14 days late! Let's just say I have a more relaxed approach to life these days and leave it at that! Haha!

This is a picture of my 5 grandchildren taken just last month. I think their personalities show through quite well in their expressions here. LOVE that! ;)

First, I want to thank all of you who have emailed and called to check on me since closing my store. I'm alive and well...and it's going to be an AWESOME year for me! The last couple of months have been a bit "trying", I will admit. I've been super busy with closing the store and Christmas. I will admit that I am still learning to regroup after living in the fast lane for so long. But I can assure you that I finally have a grip, and life is good! It's all uphill from here!

I hope to be stamping again soon. And I desperately feel the need to get out my Tombows and color something. Who knows...I may even learn to use my Copics! At any rate, I will be back then.

I had a FABULOUS time in Las Vegas! It was my first time EVER to visit there! It was also my first time in a private plane, my first limo ride, and my first time to attend a live musical production! I won't bore you with a lot of details, but I do want to say that if you have half a chance to see one of the Cirque de Soleil shows, DO NOT pass up the opportunity! We saw The Beatles Love , Viva Elvis and "O" . Honestly, I couldn't pick a favorite! They were all absolutely awesome!

I am going to share just one picture. I took it with my cell phone camera inside Caesar's Palace. The architecture was amazing everywhere we went!!! But enough of that!

Actually, I think I will be back Monday afternoon!

I was invited to go with friends on their private plane to Las Vegas for a long weekend, and after much thought I couldn't think of a real reason NOT to go! I've never been there...or much of anywhere, for that matter. So I'm getting on that airplane early tomorrow morning headed for Nevada. New adventures...the new me! Haha! Geaux Tigers!

So sorry that I don't have anything creative for you today. I left town Friday afternoon headed for Tiger Stadium aka Death Valley! On Saturday the Tigers beat the Florida Gators 41-11, and I was among 93,000 other fans sitting in the stadium watching it happen. It was my first LSU game, and it was awesome, I tell ya!

We had a fabulous time at the game. But the tailgaiting, both before and after the game, made for the perfect day! Great friends, great food, great entertainment! Thanks to our hosts, Scott and Joanna! Here is Joanna with her son Clinton.

Winter Wishes Altered Notebook

Hi everyone! This is a notebook that I make each and every year. These make such wonderful gifts for a teacher or co-worker. You can find the tutorial HERE from several years ago. A different version of the notebook can be found HERE and another HERE .

If you follow the instructions in the tutorial you shouldn't have any trouble, so I'm going to skip the directions for making it. The stamp set for the ornament is JustRite Stampers Deck The Halls cling mounted set. I stamped it with Fired Brick Distress Ink , then cut it out. The teal layer, and red ornament layer behind the stamped image were cut using Spellbinders 2011 Ornament Nestabilities . The tag was stamped with JustRite's Christmas Mini Sentiments .

This picture is so you can see the focal image in a little greater detail. All designer paper used on the notebook is from the Prima Marketing North Country 6 x 6 paper pad . The ribbon is May Arts , and the flower in the center is from the North Country Avon Rose flower collection.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited about my card today, because it was a pure joy to make.
The stamp I used is Stampavie's Winter Birdhouse by Tina Wenke! Isn't that the sweetest image? And I just LOVED coloring it with my Tombow Markers! I used White Opal Liquid Pearls for the snow, and sprinkled Ultrafine Transparent Glitter on it while it was still wet.

The image was cut with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen . The designer paper is from the Prima Marketing North Country 6 x 6 Paper Pad . The bow was made with May Arts 1" Teal Sheer ribbon.

Share The Warmth

Hello from the soggy south! Not complaining...we desperately needed the rain, and it makes for a perfect day to stay inside to stamp! As if we need an excuse...right?

I absolutely adore this gorgeous stamp from Stampendous . It's called Forest Cottage Scene , and it certainly makes a warm and cozy holiday card!

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink then colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

To add sparkle I used my Quickie Glue Pen as an adhesive, then sprinkled on Crystal Ultrafine Glitter .

The sentiment is from Stampavie's Holiday Wishes clear stamp set. So many nice sentiments in that one!

As promised, here are the Tombow Markers I used to color the image. The cardstock is two different shades from the Prismatics Baby Blue Trio.

Deck the Halls!

What a great weekend! I even managed to sneak in a little creative time! It seems that doesn't happen often enough these days.

This card was a lot of fun to make! Since the new Spellbinders 2011 Heirloom Ornaments dies arrived earlier this week, I was anxious to use the matching JustRite Deck the Halls cling stamp set! The ornament on the left was cut and embossed using Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments .

That beautiful designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Blitzen 6 x 6 paper pad. Such a beautiful colors...every single page!

The images were stamped on white cardstock, then colored with the Tombow Markers as shown. Since I didn't stamp on watercolor paper I used the N00 Blender Pen to add the color to the paper.

Short and sweet, I know. But this card is pretty straightforward so I'm sparing you all the extra babble.

The image was watercolored using the Tombow Markers pictured above. Yes, I got a little carried away with all those colors! LOL!

Garden Treats

Even though the season for making our Christmas cards is upon us, summer is still here with temperatures soaring in the deep south. While we still have some warm (HOT) weather left, I wanted to post a fun summer card I made this weekend using a cute Penny Black stamp.

The main image is Penny Black's Garden Treats rubber stamp. Isn't this little fellow adorable?

I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using the Tombow Markers shown below. Blending was accomplished using a damp paint brush.

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Because I Care cling mounted stamp set. It was framed with MFT's Sunshine Die-Namics . The red border is MFT's Little Open Scallop strip Die-Namics. All designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety paper pad.

These are the Tombow Markers used to color and shade the main image .

Blossom Birds

I know...this isn't my typical style. But I was in a "vintage" kind of mood when I created this card. I'm really anxious to use this stamp again to see what I can do with vibrant colors.

The stamp is Blossom Birds by Penny Johnson for Stampavie . Instead of using my usual Tombow Markers to color, I decided to use Prismacolor pencils with Gamsol to obtain a lighter and more muted look.

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Friendship Blooms cling mounted stamp set.

The designer paper is from Melissa Frances . I added lots of distressing using Tim Holtz Distress Inks . The flowers were made with Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches. I added Mini Pearls to the center of each flower.

You Make Me Smile

I made this card a few weeks ago to send to a friend. I didn't want to post it on my blog until after he received it. But since he hasn't made me smile lately, I never mailed it. The good news (if there is any) is that I can post it now! MEN! Geez! Haha!
This stamp is one of my all time favorites from Northwoods Rubber Stamps and is appropriately called Geranium Pot . Clever how they came up with that, huh? I stamped it with Onyx Black Versafine ink, and colored with Tombow Markers . You won't believe how super easy this image is to color! Really!!!

The sentiment is Penny Black's You Make Me Smile wood mounted stamp. The two little rhinestones are from Zva Creative's Mini Rhinestones . All designer paper is from the NEW Cosmo Cricket Odds & Ends 6 x 6 Paper Pad .

Since my card base is black, I needed to do something to the inside so I could write a message or stamp another sentiment. Above you can see what I came up with using scraps of paper from the front. Simple, yet dressed up enough to make a statement, I think.

I know you're all enjoying your weekend. Mine was great...but a little too short. Aren't they always? And it is SO HOT here!

For my card today I used JustRite Stampers Merry & Bright cling mounted stamp set, which coordinates perfectly with the Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornaments Nestabilities! After the ornament was cut and embossed I colored it using Tombow Markers , and added a bit of May Arts Gold Metallic String to hang it.

The panel behind the ornament is Spellbinders Labels Eighteen Nestabilities.

All designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Life of the Party paper pad. The cardstock is Prismatics Blush Red Dark . The pearls are Zva Creative Mini Pearls adhered with a Quickie Glue Pen .

Comfort Cocoa

For those of you who who aren't card makers, but read my Facebook Page , I need to tell you that for those of us who make handmade cards, " 'tis the season" for us to get started our Christmas cards! Yes, I know...it's 100 degrees outside here. But that's just what we do! The time spent on each one of these means we have to start really early to get them all done!

Today I used stamps from Impression Obsession , which is one of my most favorite stamp companies! The image on the front is Comfort Cocoa , from their 2011 Christmas catalog! I stamped it on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. It was colored using Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The Classic Red layer behind the main image was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Labels Eighteen . The flower and leaves are from my stash.

The sentiment, also from Impression Obsession, is Sweet Wishes . It was cut with a die from the Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two and framed in red using another die from the same Fancy Tags Two set.

All designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Life of the Party 6 x 6 paper pad. I just love it when I can use non traditional Christmas paper for my holiday cards!

Time is priceless...

I'm know I'm posting a little earlier than usual today. But I'm walking out the door now to go out of town for the afternoon. My mother's birthday is tomorrow, so I'm going to the cemetery to take flowers. Who knows...maybe somehow she will know that I am thinking of her.

I wanted to make a masculine birthday card for a good friend, and this new Moments In Time stamp set from Flourishes was the perfect set for the occasion.

The Spellbinders dies I used are Fancy Tags Two and Labels Eighteen . All designer paper is from the Prima Marketing Reflections 6 x 6 Paper Pad . As you can see, there are some great masculine papers in there, as well as others that could be more feminine.

I stamped the images using Tim Holtz Walnut Stain Distress Ink , and used Tea Dye Distress Ink to age the paper. The cardstock is Suede Brown Prismatics .

I apologize for not having anything crafty for you today, but I was gone all weekend, and had no time to stamp. I went to my grandson's Dixie League State Championship playoffs Friday, was away Saturday, then went back to watch his playoff game again today!

This is a picture I took of Christian a little earlier with his newest medal. They won third in the State Championship playoffs. Awesome job, Christian!!!

And this is the entire team after the game today. They all played really hard. And it was so H-O-T outside!

A Day At The Beach!

Hi there! As you can see, I'm running a little late tonight. It's been such a busy weekend here, I'm trying to cram everything in at the last minute! Don't you hate it when you have such a wonderful weekend that you don't want it to end...then you have to get back to reality? ;-)

The main image for my card today is Impression Obsession's Big Whale cling mount stamp. I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The finished image was cut out. Waves were cut with a scallop punch. The sun is Sunshine Die-Namics by My Favorite Things. The clouds were cut with the Cloud Trio Die-Namics dies.

The sentiment on the inside is A Day At The Beach cling mount stamp, also from Impression Obsession. It was stamped with Faded Jeans Distress Ink and cut with Spellbinders Spellbinders Labels Eighteen .

I hope you all had a great holiday! Maybe some swimming or boating and cooking on the grill? That's what was going on here! Sadly, it's time to regroup and get ready to go back to work tomorrow.

The card I have for you today was made using Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch . I stamped with JustRite Stampers You Inspire Me cling mounted stamp set using Memento London Fog ink on light blue cardstock. I cut out the oval in the center with a petite oval Spellbinders die, and placed the sentiment behind the cut out section.

All designer paper is from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue 6 x 6 Paper Pad. The Spellbinders die used to cut the main image is Labels Five. The pearls are Zva Creative Soft Blue Flourish pearls, and the ribbon is May Arts.

For my project today I decided to make a gift! All stamps on the tag and card are from the JustRite Stampers Charmed cling mount set. The dies I used that match that set are JustRite's Charmed Custom Dies by Spellbinders.
The base of the matching card is the smallest size of the Spellbinders Labels One Grand Nestabilities. The layers were cut with Spellbinders Labels One and Labels One Small. The picture above shows the inside of the card. The pink border on both the front and inside were cut with My Favorite Things Scallop Ribbon Border . The decorative hearts on the inside are the smaller hearts from JustRite's Charms Custom Dies by Spellbinders.

Welcome to the Stamper's Dream and Friends Blog Hop! We have some very special friends joining us today, and I couldn't be more excited! I will introduce them to you right after I show you my card.

The image I used today is My Favorite Things Pucker Up . I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. Her clothes and table were paper pieced. The rest of the image was colored with Tombow Markers .

The layer behind the main image was cut and embossed using Spellbinders Labels Fifteen Nestabilities . All designer paper is from the Kaisercraft Candy Lane 6 x 6 paper pad.

The border along the bottom was cut with the MFT Double Scallop Die-Namics die. The flower was made with the Rolled Daisy Die-Namics also by MFT.

I hope your holiday weekend was as good as mine!!! AWESOME...and even with the long three-day weekend I still ran out of time before I accomplished everything on my list. How does that happen? LOL!

I took a little time to play yesterday using this new Stampendous cling mounted stamp called Tree Swing . How sweet is that!?!

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink , then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. The image was colored using Tombow Markers .

The sun was cut and embossed using My Favorite Things Sunshine Die-Namics die. The designer paper on this card is all from the Pink Paislee Hometown Summer 6 x 6 Paper Pad. The button is from my stash, and the Red Burlap String threaded through the button is from May Arts.

Fishing Friends

I hope you all had a great Sunday afternoon! The weather is gorgeous here and I felt like making something cheery, so I chose to color this adorable Penny Black stamp called Fishing Friends !

I stamped the image on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . I photographed the markers I used and posted them for you below.

The sentiment is from JustRite Stamper's Be Happy borders and centers set. I used my Charms Custom Dies from JustRite to cut the sentiment, then tied a bow using May Arts Red Burlap String .

All designer paper is from the October Afternoon Seaside 8 x 8 Paper Pad . The cardstock is Prismatics Classic Red and Nautical Blue Dark .

And these are the Tombow Markers I used to color the image. You can click on it to enlarge if you need to see the numbers a little better.

I hope this finds you all doing well. I know I haven't been posting quite as much lately...but studio time has been hard to come by. And it seems that keeping all the balls in the air is a major feat a times. Bear with me, will you? I'm hurrying as fast as I can. :)

For this card the main image is Stampendous Flower Fields cling mounted stamp. I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink , embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with Tombow Markers . The large yellow flower was stamped and layered with foam tape twice more. I added a Webster's Pages Rose & Pearl vintage sparkler to the center.

The main image panel was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Labels Eight Nestability. The panel behind it is Spellbinders Labels Seventeen . All designer paper is from the Crate Paper Portrait 6 x 6 paper pad.

The sentiment I used is from the JustRite Stampers Hugs to You large oval set. I added another of the Webster's Pages Rose & Pearl Vintage Sparklers to embellish. Distressing was added to the edges of the paper with Tim Holtz Distress Inks .

I hope you all had a great weekend! I know I did! But after my vacation and a little time spent playing with friends and family, it's back to reality now, and time to face the inevitable workload that's been piling up. Sad, but true!

For my card today I used the new JustRite Stampers Hugs to You ovals and centers stamp set. The borders and centers are simply perfect for so many occasions!

I stamped both the oval background and the sentiment on Prismatics Birchtone Light cardstock using StazOn Timber Brown Ink. I embellished the filigree oval with Kaisercraft Pewter Pearls , and distressed the edges a bit with Tim Holtz Distsress Ink . The layer behind the oval is Birchtone Dark cardstock cut and embossed with the NEW Spellbinders Labels Four Small Nestabilities. The Birchtone Light layer behind that one was cut and embossed with Spellbinders Labels Four .

I added a Zva Creative Taupe Pearl Flourish to the top left corner. The red flower is from the Prima Symphony Blend Acceso Red flower package.

The designer paper is from Crate Paper's Portrait Collection ! The ribbon and trim I used is May Arts Gold Woven Velvet and Prima Marketing Alencon Lace Trim .

This is a shot of the inside where I used the smallest of the Spellbinders Labels Four Grand Nestabilities. Again, I distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks for definition. The border is a scrap of paper from the Crate Paper Portrait Collection Paper that I had left from the front of my card.

I'm home from Cozumel, and I can't tell you what a FABULOUS trip it was! The beach was gorgeous!!! We had lots of fun in the sun and good food. And we enjoyed meeting some really interesting people as well. If you're my friend on Facebook you've probably seen some of the pictures. I will only post one here. This is me with my BFF Nina. It was taken outside a restaurant in Cozumel.

I did really enjoy one trip we took about 9 years ago up the coast of Oregon were we toured through many of the lighthouses and then came back down central Oregon to drive through the most of the covered bridges. By the time you read this I will be well on my way to the island of Cozumel, Mexico with my BFF! I am long overdue for a little time away, and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it. I am making a concerted effort to find more "balance" in my life this year. You know...a little more time for family, friends and fun...and a little less work? I want to smell a few more roses along the way...make more memories. So please be patient with me as strive to figure out how to manage it all a little better! Balance is a new concept for me, ya know! :)

I decided to make something a little tropical for you today to help me get in the mood for my upcoming tropical vacation! I am leaving really early Wednesday morning and won't return until late Tuesday evening. Since the packing and shipping at Stamper's Dream is a "one girl show", all orders will go out promptly when I return.

Stamper's Dream Blog Hop with JustRite!

Welcome to the Stamper's Dream Blog Hop! Today we are hopping with the JustRite Blogging team, hoping to bring you some inspiration!

For my card I used the JustRite Vintage Ovals cling mounted set. I stamped using StazOn Timber Brown ink, and used Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol to color. The images were cut and embossed using Spellbinders Petite Ovals. The edges were distressed using Tea Dye Distress Ink .

The green layer behind the ovals is Sage Medium Prismataics cardstock cut with Baroque Bigz Sizzix die. I embossed it using one of the Tim Holtz Texture Fades .

The flowers are from the Kaisercraft Paper Blooms collection. These are the Honey Paper Blooms. I absolutely love them...and all the colors they offer are just gorgeous!

The designer paper is from the Crate Paper Portrait Collection . To soften the paper I used a piece of ochre vellum, and added brads to the corners.

It's a fairy good day here...how is yours going?

I stole a little time to make a card this week. I needed the therapy. LOL! So I chose this sweet little My Favorite Things Believe in Magic Pure Innocence girl. After stamping her on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, I colored with Tombow Markers then added a little Stardust Stickles to her wings and a Mini Rhinestone to her wand.

The pink oval frame is Vibrant Pink Prismatics cut and embossed with a Spellbinders Big Scalloped Oval Nestability.

The border on the inside is MFT's Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namic . The designer paper is from the Kaisercraft Candy Lane 6 x 6 paper pad. And that sweet little White Rose Organza Ribbon on the front is by Maya Road.

And these are the Tombow Markers I used to color the image. I'm pretty proud of myself for remembering to photograph them. Ha!

Yes, it's true! We have a very exciting new addition to The Dream Team ! Her name is Arlene Cuevas, and her blog is Butterfly Kisses Designs .

I've been watching Arlene's blog for quite some time now, and have been WOWed by all of her work! She can do most anything, I tell ya! And those You Tube videos she does are the bomb! In fact, she has one for you today!

Yes...the weekend was soooooo nice! The weather was beautiful here, I'm LOVING the change to daylight savings time, and I managed to get my new iPad2! Life is good! Will you pleezzzzze remind me I said that next weekend when I'm tearing my hair out over my income tax return? Ha!
I made this card today, and even participated in The Sweet Stop Sketch challenge. The images are from the Penny Black Paint The Town clear stamp set. Honestly, there are so many adorable images in that set it was hard to decide which to use first!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, and colored using Tombow Markers . A picture of the ones I used is below.

The designer papers are all from the Kaisercraft Candy Lane 6 x 6 paper pad . It includes such gorgeous spring colors, and the scalloped border I used is in the pad as well. To make the flower I used MFT's Flower and Leaf Trio Die-Namics . I put a Dew Drop in the center that had been colored with a Copic Marker. The ribbon is May Arts Celery 3/8" Satin .

This is a picture of the Tombow Markers I used. Please note that the four flowers I colored are all different shades of ONE marker, Tombow #703. I achieved the change in intensity with the marker by using more or less ink and water to color.

Hey there! I hope you all had a great weekend. I can't bear to think that it's almost over so soon! I managed to get some "store things" done. I even stole a little time to make this card! And I have to tell you, I haven't stamped in a while, so it felt really good to get inky! :)

The main image on this card is Penny Black's Hello Dear cling mounted stamp. I inked it with Onyx Black Versafine ink, stamped on watercolor paper, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder.

I watercolored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend. I photographed the ones I used for you. Can you believe I remembered to do that? Ha!

The sentiment is from the JustRite Stampers Kindness cling mounted stamp set. I used Spellbinders classic circles and Scalloped Circles to cut and frame it.

The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Olivia 6 x 6 paper pad. The cardstock is from my stash.

This is a card that was made and sent to me by Lisa Hjulberg . I met her in the La-La booth at CHA, and she is such a delight! Talented, too, huh? :) Thanks Linda!!!

More new things in the store! I saw Tim Holtz demonstrate these Distress Stains at CHA in Los Angeles last month. AMAZING STUFF, I tell ya!

One of the things I love so much about the new Kaisercraft Paper Blooms is that you get 3 shades of a color per package, and there are 17 different colors! And they are gorgeous to boot! :)

What can I say about Echo Park Paper except that it's simply awesome!!!

Stamper's Dream Blog Hop!

Hi there! Thanks for joining us for the Stamper's Dream blog hop! The Dream Team is hopping today, along with some very special friends of mine. We also have some hidden blog candy for you! But we will get to all that in a moment. First, let me tell you about my card.
All stamps used are from the new Stampendous Daisy Thanks clear stamp set. I watercolored the image with Tombow Markers and used a damp paint brush to blend. I stamped the flowers a second time, colored them and popped them up with foam tape for added dimension.

I distressed the edges of the paper with my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and Distress Inks . The designer paper is from the October Afternoon Seaside paper pad. The cardstock is from the Prism Papers Sunflowers Trio .

Since I've been getting emails about which Tombow Markers I use on my projects, I photographed them for you.

Have you missed me??? I took off for a weekend in Hot Springs, Arkansas with my best friend! Girl time...what could be better? We shopped till we dropped, ate way too much really good food, and I had my very first gelato! Ummmm....it was SO GOOD!!! One more thing to mark off of my bucket list! LOL!

The main image on my card today uses the JustRite Stampers Beautiful Day stamp set. It was watercolored using Tombow Markers . The layer behind the flower is JustRite's Fancy Labels cling mount set. I stamped it on Iced Amethyst Prismatics cardstock using Purple Hydrangea VersaMagic Ink then cut and embossed with Labels Thirteen Nestabilities . (Sorry for the photos...it's very cloudy here today.)

The sentiment is from the JustRite Fancy Tags cling mount set. It was framed with a border from the same set, then adhered to a tag cut and embossed with the JustRite Nested Frame Custom Dies set.

All cardstock is from the Prism Papers Amethyst Paper Trio . The designer paper is Basic Grey Kioshi.

CHA - Part 3

This is the last of the CHA pictures I'm going to post. But I have to say, these are a few of my favorite things:

I have to tell you that this is one of my MOST FAVORITE people in the stamping industry...Mitra Friant, owner of Impression Obsession ! You know I love ya, girl! :)
This is Wendy Senger, owner of Tattered Angels! SUPER sweet lady. She spent a lot of time with Amy and me, showing us a lot of different techniques. Since I was stranded there the day after Amy left, I went back to her booth. When I asked to take her picture she said, "Only if you're in it too!" I'm so pleased that I got to spend some time with her!

And of course, my trip would not be complete if I didn't go by the Scor-Pal booth for a hug from my friend Val Stangle ! Isn't she cute?

The people from Stampavie are sooooo sweet! My special thanks to Heidi , Michelle Oatman and Diane ! The card samples in their booth were totally gorgeous!!!

CHA 2011 - Part 1

Just a few quick pics from CHA! This is the very first picture I took. From left to right you will see A J Otto . I hadn't met her before, and she was super sweet. Then there is the infamous Eva Dobilas (and what a hoot SHE is)! Then on the far right is my good friend, Dream Team member and traveling companion, Amy Sheffer . What a GREAT group of ladies!!!
One of my favorite booths that was overflowing with eye candy was the Graphics 45 booth. Feast your eyes on all this loveliness!!!

Aren't their designers talented? I mean....this stuff is awesome!

I SO wanted to take this clock home with me. I have just the perfect place for it in my house. And it would be loved and appreciated there. But I decided they might notice if I carried it away. Darn it!

I would have even settled for this beauty. *sigh*

While I was away a couple of packages were delivered. One from Webster's Pages which includes their Spring Market collection. And we ordered MUCH more of their new lines while we were at CHA. The other box was from JustRite Stampers ! You can see it all in the New Arrivals section!

Stranded at DFW

But I will be the first to admit that it's MUCH better than being stranded at the airport in Los Angeles (which is what happened Tuesday night)!

What a trip!!! CHA was GREAT fun! I have so much to tell you, and I took pictures to share. But until I get home and off this laptop I will just have to keep you in suspense.

I hope to finally get home tonight! More delays with flights, and we are supposed to get snow in Shreveport tonight, which is my destination airport. I think I've been bumped from my flight 6 or 7 times now. But I'm not complaining...there are many who have it way worse than I. Do you think I will ever see my luggage again??? LOL!

So...until I can get back home there is a delay with shipping your orders. So sorry! You all KNOW how I feel about fast shipping!

CHA Bound...and Dreamy Treats (Blog Candy)!

TGIF!!!! Not only is it Friday, but it's the day I leave for CHA in Los Angeles! And I couldn't be more excited. I will have two roommates in California... Amy Sheffer and my friend Kellie Fortin from JustRite Stampers. So that ALONE will be a hoot! We have plans to meet up with other designers that you all know and love, so I will be taking LOTS of pictures! I will try to blog from there, but I never know if that's possible with the crazy schedule we have. Keep checking back...I will do my best.

I used My Favorite Things Friendship Is Shelter clear stamp set on this card. I stamped first on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine Ink then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. Parts of the image were colored with Tombow Markers and the rest was paper pieced.

The die used for the border is My Favorite Things Little Open Scallop Strip Die-Namics .All designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Jack and Jill paper kit (and it's on sale in the store)! The cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics and Sunflowers Medium Prismatics .

I'm home on my lunch hour, so this post will be a quickie! :)

The stamp set I used is JustRite Stampers Fancy Nested Frames cling mounted set. I stamped first on light blue paper from the Basic Grey Marjolaine 6 x 6 paper pad using Aegean Blue VersaMagic ink, then cut it out using JustRite Custom Nested Frame Dies . The center was stamped with Aegean VersaMagic ink on green Marjolaine paper, then cut and embossed using Labels Fourteen Nestabilities .

The layer behind the main image is Spellbinders Labels Seventeen .

All designer paper is from the Basic Grey Marjolaine 6 x 6 paper pad. The dark blue cardstock is Mystic Prismatics. The Bliss Pearls are from Kaisercraft, and the ribbon is May Arts 3/8" Celery Satin .

Bright Heart

Happy Thursday, everyone! It's a nasty and rainy day here in the deep south, but I'm not letting it dampen my spirits. I'm leaving next week for CHA to buy LOTS of new products for the store, and I couldn't be more excited! Are any of you going to be there??? Be sure to drop me a note and let me know so I can look for you there!!!
The stamp I used for this card is the new Penny Black Bright Heart rubber stamp. I stamped on watercolor paper with Onyx Black Versafine ink, embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder, then colored with my beloved Tombow Markers .

Just for fun, I added a touch of Stickles Glitter Glue to the I ♥ and flower. I used Lime Green, Christmas Red and Orange Peel. To give the wing a little dimension I put a white dot on each feather using my White Opaque Pen from Ranger.

The hearts were cut with My Favorite Things Hearts A Plenty Die-Namics . The red button is from Buttons Galore Big Red Buttons Grab Bag , and the twine is May Arts Pink Burlap String .

All designer paper is from the MME Alphabet Soup Girl paper kit. The cardstock is Frosted Pink and Intense Pink from the Pink Prismatics Trio .

Love Antennae!

While I was stamping this weekend I made this card using Penny Black's new Love Antennae rubber stamp. I think this "Mimi" series of stamps is really cute! Funny, but I just can't see a ladybug stamp without thinking of my sweet friend Charmaine ! :)

I stamped on watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. After coloring with Tombow Markers I cut out the image and layered it on a panel cut from a MFT Dainty Lace Doily Die-Namic .

All designer paper is from the Bo Bunny Crush paper pad. The red heart border is a Fiskars punch, and the red cardstock is Classic Red Prismatics .

We're having a VERY rainy day here! And it's just perfect for staying inside and stamping! I love those days, don't you?

We recently received a new shipment of Valentine's Day images from Impression Obsession , and this is the first chance I've had to ink one of them up! This one is called Love Scale and it's one of my favorites!!!

I stamped on watercolor paper using Onyx Black Versafine ink, then embossed with JudiKins Detail Clear embossing powder. I colored with Tombow Markers using a damp paint brush to blend.

The designer paper is from the My Mind's Eye Alphabet Soup Girl paper collection. (LOVE those fun colors!) The decorative border is MFT's Little Open Scallop Die-Namic.
